Castleman disease is known to be extreme benign proliferation of lymphoid tissue. Actually the main etiology is still unknown. It is usually characterized in mediastinal lymph nodes. However it can also be investigated in cervical, supraclavicular and retroperitoneal lymph nodes. In this case report, we present a patient who was diagnosed as Castleman Disease while she was planned to have surgery for rectum cancer.
Castleman Hastalığı nedeni bilinmeyen, lenfoid dokunun aşırı proliferasyonu ile seyreden benign bir hastalıktır. En sık mediastinal lenf bezlerini tutmakla birlikte servikal, supraclavikuler ve retroperitoneal lenf bezi tutulumu da izlenebilir. Bu yazıda rektum kanseri tanısı ile ameliyata hazırlanan hastada insidental olarak tanı konulan Castleman Hastalığı olgusunu sunduk.
