Yaşlanma ve Hipertansiyonda Yeni bir Endoltelyal Disfonksiyon Belirteci: Çözünebilir Lektin Benzeri Okside Düşük Dansiteli Lipoprotein-1

Abstract

Amaç: Çözünebilir lektin benzeri oksitlenmiş düşük yoğunluklu lipoprotein reseptörü-1 (sLOX-1), oksitlenmiş düşük yoğunluklu lipoproteinin (oksLDL), nitrik oksit (NO) ve indüklenebilir nitrik oksit sentaz (iNOS) ve karotis intima-media kalınlığının (CIMT) yaşlanma ve hipertansiyondaki (HT) rolünü araştırmaktır.

Materyal ve Metot: Her biri 30 katılımcıdan oluşan; yaşlı HT, genç HT, yaşlı kontroller ve genç kontrollerin sLOX-1, oxLDL, CIMT, iNOS ve NO değerleri karşılaştırıldı.

Bulgular: sLOX-1 ve oxLDL düzeyleri hipertansif gruplarda kontrol gruplarına göre anlamlı olarak daha yüksekti. Yaş ile sLOX-1 ve CIMT arasında pozitif korelasyon saptandı. sLOX-1, oxLDL, CIMT, iNOS, sistolik kan basıncı ve diyastolik kan basıncı arasında pozitif, sLOX-1 ise NO ile negatif korelasyon saptandı. Regresyon analizinde, CIMT ve oxLDL'nin hipertansiyon üzerinde en etkili faktörler olduğu saptandı.

Tartışma ve Sonuç: Bu çalışma sLOX-1 ile ilişkili oksidasyon yolaklarının ve endotel disfonksiyonunun yaşlanma ile ilişkili HT riskini artırabileceğini göstermektedir. Nitrik oksit eksikliği yaşlılarda sLOX-1 ekspresyonunu artırabilir, bu da hipertansiyonda daha fazla sLOX-1 aracılı NO eksikliğine yol açar. Bu döngünün NO azalması veya sLOX-1 ve iNOS aktivitesinin aktivasyonu ile tetiklenip tetiklenmediğini değerlendirmek için daha fazla çalışmaya ihtiyaç vardır.
