Araç içi Trafik Kazası Nedeniyle Acil Servise Başvuran Hastalarda BMİ ile Travma Şiddeti Arasındaki İlişkinin Araştırılması

Abstract
Giriş: Bu çalışmada acil servise araç içi trafik kazası nedeniyle başvuran hastalarda BMI (Body Mass Index) değeri ile travma şiddeti ve ISS (Injury Severity Scores) skorları arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığını araştırmayı amaçladık.
Materyal ve metod: Bursa Yüksek İhtisas Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Acil Servisine 01.05.2017 ile 30.10.2017 tarihleri arasında araç içi trafik kazası nedeniyle başvuran 18 yaş ve üzeri erişkin hastalar çalışmaya dahil edildi. Çalışma prospektif gözlemsel olarak yapıldı.
Bulgular: Çalışmaya toplam 297 hasta dahil edildi. Hastaların %64.6’sı (n=192) erkek olup ortanca yaş 35 (Min:18-Maks:82) idi. Hastaların ortalama değerleri bakımından vücut ağırlığı 74.65 ±13.79 kg, boyları 169.16±8.72 cm, BMI değeri 26.20±5.11, ISS skoru 2.75 ±4.87, şok indeksi ise 0.66±0.18 olarak saptandı. Parametrik korelasyon analizi için yapılan pearson testinde, hastaların BMI değerleri ile ISS travma skorları arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir korelasyon saptanırken (p=0.018, r= 0.137), hastaların boyları ile ISS travma skorları arasında negatif yönde anlamlı bir korelasyon saptandı (p=0.015, r= - 0.141)
Sonuç: BMI ile ISS skorları arasında pozitif bir ilişki saptarken boy ile ISS skorları arasındaki negatif bir ilişki saptadık. Özellikle ISS skorları ile boy arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmak için daha geniş populasyonlu çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.
