Evaluation as a human activity is one of the basic components of our actions.
This activity might take its origin from different kinds of sources and might
have different purposes. The knowledge of evaluation as an activity has been
required for the aims and necessities of legal argumentation. In this paper,
evaluations and actions during jurisdiction and also the relation between ethical
values of the person and evaluation activity will be discussed in the light of
İoanna Kuçuradi’s value theory and ethics. Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird
will be used to concretize the theoretical debate on the concept of evaluation,
different types of evaluation and ethical values of the person.
