This study aims to investigate the reading motivations of prospective teachers in different branches. The sample of the study, which was carried out with a survey design in quantitative research methods, consists of 463 prospective teachers selected by convenience sampling. Data analysis was analyzed using the Jamovi software. While no change was observed in the findings according to the gender of the prospective teachers; it has been determined that reading motivations differ significantly according to different branches and class levels. The most valuable result obtained from the findings was that the reading motivations of the prospective teachers who followed the scientific publications differed significantly in all sub-dimensions and according to the total score. Based on the findings of this research, it can be said that the reading motivation levels of the teacher candidates are above the medium level. As a result, reading motivations of prospective teachers may vary
