Abstract

Abstract

Traditional or known applications create new perspectives and concepts in the field of design thanks to today’s creative and innovative developments. Today, the increase in designer and user interaction has strengthened creativity in the field of design. User-oriented design approach is important in strengthening this communication of the designer with the user.

In this study, examples of products designed with the reflection of user data on design, the importance of empathy in communication between the user and the designer in the cooperation of design agencies and designers with brands, and the user’s involvement in the design story from the design idea to the production processes or the product formation stages are given.

Literature research and review methods were used in this study. The scanning model was made in the relevant subject area, and some examples of publications and designs were examined and brought together. On the basis of this theoretical infrastructure, emphasis has been placed on the analysis and interpretation of the data that has been done in work with the user on the sustainability of designs in every field, how the resources will be reflected on the product by examining them according to their characteristics and usage areas, and how the product will meet whats needed. In particular, the importance of user-oriented design and user data in sustainable design process was emphasized. The study includes working dynamics and design examples on, how the designer’s approaches to user data-oriented design studies to be more efficient and effective, and better ways to respond to the needs of the user, in the light of developments. In addition, it is thought that the properties of traditional and natural materials, their usage areas and methods will be re-researched, updated information will be applied to the field of design with today’s technologies contributing to the literature by re-creating the agenda.
