Religion is the field that deals with understanding Allah’s revelation, which is the verbal verses, and science is the subject of understanding the non-verbal verses that Allah coded into the universe to inform the laws to which it is subject. While religion explains who the creator is and why creation took place, science focuses on how creation took place. Although the methods of obtaining information in these two fields are completely different from each other, they express the same truths in different languages. For this reason, they are not rivals and alternatives to each other, but rather complements. In the Qur’an, Allah has very clearly and comprehensibly encouraged people to conduct research on existence through observation and experiment, that is, by using scientific methods, and to meditate on them. Religion is a field that is so clear that it does not need the confirmation of science, and science is a concrete and understandable field in terms of the methods it uses. Since both of them deal with the verses of Allah, they have aspects that complement each other. For this reason, “How was he created?” Those who are curious about the answer to the question should turn to scientific data. In this article, the relationship between science and religion will be discussed within the framework of the verses of the Qur’an, and the limits of the relationship between the knowledge obtained in both ways will be tried to be determined.
Science and religion are both fields that deal with understanding the verses of Allah. For this reason, they are not rivals and alternatives to each other, but rather complements. In a very clear and understandable way, Allah encouraged people to obtain information through observation and experiment, that is, by scientific methods, in order to better understand some issues, and to use this information to understand the verses of the Qur’an. Although both deal with different fields, they have aspects that complement each other.
