In this study, the thesis of the Islamization of knowledge is criticized from several perspectives. The fact that the Islamic geography lagged behind the West in terms of politics, military and economy in the 18th century led some thinkers who working in the framework of Islam to some searches. One of these searching is the need for a new information paradigm. Because the encounter of the Islamic geography, which started in the 18th century and continues today, caused serious turning points and is still happening. The theses on the Islamization of knowledge are in their own framework an answer to this question. The thesis of Islamization of knowledge, which should be evaluated within the framework of efforts to reach information that can be an alternative to the West, has both modern and post-modern features. On the other hand, it becomes important how this thesis will respond to the Western perspective and knowledge hegemony, which is getting stronger and gaining a global effect, and has influenced various civilization basins of the world. Today, the fact that the West has gained a global influence requires an alternative epistemic construction to have a global address. In this study, it is discussed whether the thesis of the Islamization of knowledge has such an opportunity.
