Abstract
In the study, it was aimed to determine the research tendencies of the master's and doctoral theses on Turkish education that were prepared between 2015-2019. In this study, qualitative research method was used. The data source of the research was taken from the Council of Higher Education National Thesis Center. Document analysis method was used in the data collection process. As a result of the research, it was determined that 839 postgraduate theses on teaching Turkish at 75 different universities were prepared between 2015-2019. From the theses in the data source, 730 of the thesis are master's and 109 are doctoral level. In addition, most graduate theses were completed in 2019. It has been determined that there is diversity in terms of subject in the postgraduate theses related to teaching Turkish. In the theses in the data source, mostly subjects related to the writing learning field were preferred. Topics related to reading learning field and values education have also been frequently examined in theses. The least covered topics in the theses in the data source are language policies and Turkish teacher (s). Qualitative research models have been used in most of the postgraduate theses on teaching Turkish. Accordingly, documents and interview forms were preferred more in the data collection process. In theses where quantitative research method was used, success test was frequently used. In addition, it was determined that diary, checklist and student product file were not used in quantitative studies. As a sample, secondary school students and Turkish teachers were selected after the documents. On the other hand, it was observed that parents and academicians were preferred as samples at least in theses.
