Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of academic counseling and qualitative education program on the project proposal skills of the researchers attending to their postgraduate education. The sample of the study consists of 20 researchers getting M.A. education who participated in the education program held in Amasya in 2016 by Science Education and Researches Committee. The study was designed as pretest and post test semi experimental design method. The data obtained from the study was analyzed through a '' Scientific Literacy Evaluation Scale'' prepared by the researcher. With the given education, the mid-level ability of writing proposals of the researchers was raised to an adequate level and the education also contributed to make a meaningful difference at the level of participants' scientific literacy. On the other hand, it is foreseen that the including the winter school application into the program will be beneficial in terms of qualitative research skills as the time is limited. At the end of the research, it was suggested that the researchers who receive academic counseling support and get postgraduate degree education should attend academic seminars, workshops and congresses and help them to see their deficiencies on research culture.
