Abstract

This study aims to examines the relationship between climate policy uncertainty and renewable energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and economic growth by sectors in the 2000M1-2021M12 period of the USA. For this purpose, the recursive evolving window causality test, which is a new time-varying causality test, was used in this study. According to the findings, there is a strong relationship between CO2 emissions and climate policy uncertainty in the electricity and industry sector, while there is a strong relationship between climate policy uncertainty to CO2 emissions in the housing sector. However, in the commercial sector, there is a strong relationship between climate policy uncertainty and renewable energy consumption. The results of the analysis show that the steps to be taken to reduce climate policy uncertainty will especially affect carbon dioxide emissions and renewable energy consumption. From this perspective, we can indicate that raising awareness of climate change is one of the first steps to be undertaken to reduce climate policy uncertainty.

ABD'DE İKLİM POLİTİKASI BELİRSİZLİĞİ YENİLENEBİLİR ENERJİ TÜKETİMİNİ ETKİLER Mİ?
