Abstract
A new corona virus outbreak (Corona virus disease, 2019, Covid-19), which started in December in Wuhan province of China, has been confirmed, and the virus spread to the whole world, creating a strong and serious pandemic.
Symptoms such as fever, cough, respiratory distress, diarrhea, and fatigue associated with Covid-19 are typical clinical findings. Some COVID‐19 patients also expressed neurologic findings like headache, dizziness, impaired consciousness, encephalitis, encephalopathy, cerebrovascular diseases, and peripheral nervous system damage. In some of these patients, the SARS-CoV-2 virus was isolated in the cerebrospinal fluid, in some cases, virus was detected in autopsy materials. In this review, the neurological signs and symptoms seen in Covid-19 infected patients and the mechanisms of the virus causing neuronal damage will be discussed.
