In this study, a
total of 82 (67♀♀, 15♂♂) Capoeta umbla
samples from the same location in the River of Tigris and ages of scales taken
from area between lateral line and dorsal fins of fishes were determined and
just one scale from each fish sample photographed by an Olympus digital camera
with Canon SX7 model binocular under the same conditions with 40Xmagnification
and then six landmarks were taken by using tpsDig ver. 2.26 software. Then,
ANOVA (Analysis of Variance), PCA (Principal Component Analysis), CVA
(Canonical Variance Anlysis) and DFA (Discriminant Function Analysis) analysis
were conducted by MorphoJ ver. 1.06d and PAST 3.11,. According to the results
of the analyses, there was a significant difference between gender and age
groups in terms of gender and size (CS: Centroid Size) ANOVA, however, no
difference was found in terms of the shape ANOVA of the samples. Also, there
was a significant difference between Mahalanobis distance of II-IV, II-V age
groups and Autumn-Winter, Autumn-Spring of season groups.
