The aim of this study is to examine the effect of creating a narrative text with creative writing techniques on 10th grade students' writing skills, attitudes towards Turkish language and literature course, and academic achievement. Thinking skills of individuals; Writing studies that are done without limiting feelings and thoughts and without putting them into certain patterns are defined as creative writing. The application of creative writing techniques is considered important in terms of gaining mental activities and high-level thinking skills. In this study, in which the effects of creative writing practices were investigated, a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test was used. The study group of the research consists of 40 students, 20 of whom are in the experimental group and 20 of them are in the control group, among the 10th grade students studying in a high school in Doğubayazıt district of Ağrı province. When the pre-test results applied to the experimental and control groups were compared, it was concluded that there was no significant difference between the groups and therefore the groups were equivalent to each other. In the research, "Attitude Scale Towards Turkish Literature Lesson", "Storytelling Text Writing Skill Evaluation Form" and Turkish Language and Literature Class Achievement Test developed by the researcher were used as data collection tools. T-test and ANCOVA analysis were used to analyze the data. Within the scope of creative writing techniques, an application program was prepared and experimental process applications were made for eight weeks. As a result of the experimental process, it was concluded that creative writing activities and narrative text writing activities significantly increased the academic achievement, attitudes towards the lesson, and narrative text writing skills of the students in the experimental group.
