SPOR YAPAN VE YAPMAYAN ERGENLERİN AKILDIŞI İNANÇLARININ KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı
ergenlerin spor yapıp yapmama durumuna göre akıl dışı inançlarının (başarı
talebi, rahatlık talebi, saygı talebi) karşılaştırılmasıdır. Araştırmaya 10-14
yaşları arasında 109 erkek (x
yaş= 12.87±0.99), 99 kız (xyaş= 12.84±1.05) olmak üzere toplam 208 (xyaş= 12.86±1.02) ergen
katılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan ergenlerin 74’ü aktif olarak lisanslı sporcuyken,
134’ü spor yapmamaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ve
“Ergenler için Mantıkdışı İnançlar Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde
Çok Değişkenli Varyans Analizi  (MANOVA)
kullanılmıştır. MANOVA sonuçlarına göre; akıl dışı inançlar üzerinde cinsiyet x
spor yapma ortak etkisi anlamlı değildir (Wilks’λ= .99; F(3, 204)=.09,
p>.05, ƞ2=.001). Öte yandan, 
ergenlerin akıl dışı inançları cinsiyete (Wilks’λ= .95; F(3, 204)=3.35,
p<.05, ƞ2=.05) ve spor yapma durumuna (Wilks’λ= .91; F(3,
204)
=6.39, p<.01, ƞ2=.09) göre anlamlı farklılık
göstermektedir. Hangi bağımlı değişkenin çok değişkenli farklılığa katkı
sağladığını anlamak için yapılan univariate analiz sonucunda saygı talebi alt
boyutunda kızların puanları erkeklerden daha yüksek bulunuştur (F(1, 204)=
6.60, p<.05, η2=.03). Spor yapma durumuna göre başarı talebi (F(1,
204)
= 7.24, p<.05, η2=.03), rahatlık talebi (F(1, 204)=
5.79, p<.05, η2=.03), saygı talebi (F(1, 204)= 9.74,
p<.05, η2=.05) ve toplam akıldışı inanç (F(1, 204)= 17.48,
p<.05, η2=.08) puanlarında anlamlı farklılık vardır. Tüm alt
boyutlarda, spor yapanların akıldışı inanç puanları spor yapmayanlara göre daha
yüksek çıkmıştır. Sonuç olarak ergenlerin cinsiyetine ve spor yapıp yapmama
durumuna göre akıl dışı inançları farklılaşmaktadır. Özellikle spor yapan
ergenlerin akıldışı inançlarının spor yapmayanlara göre daha yüksek çıkması,
ergen sporcularla yapılacak olan uygulamalı spor psikolojisi çalışmaları
açısından yol gösterici olacağı düşünülmektedir.
