FARKLI OFİS TİPİ BEYAZLATMA SİSTEMLERİNİN BEYAZLATMA ETKİNLİKLERİNİN VE RENK STABİLİTELERİNİN KARŞILAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Amaç: Bu in vitro çalışmanın amacı, farklı ofis tipi beyazlatma
sistemlerinin beyazlatma etkinliklerinin ve renk stabilitelerinin karşılaştırılmasıdır.

Gereç ve Yöntem:
Seksen adet mine-dentin örneği renklenme şiddetinin standardize edilmesi
amacıyla beyazlatma öncesi Orange II boyası ile renklendirildi.  Örnekler rastgele dört gruba ayrıldı (n=20):
(1) %40 hidrojen peroksit jeli (Opalescence Boost PF) (OB), (2) %25 hidrojen
peroksit jel + ışık aktivasyonu (Zoom 2) (Z2), (3) %38 hidrojen peroksit + ışık
aktivasyonu (Signal Professional White Now) (SP), (4) beyazlatma uygulaması
a = 0,05). Her
grubun beyazlatma ve yeniden renklendirme sonrası renk farklılıkları (
DE1-DE2) bağımlı örneklem t-testi ile analiz edildi (a = 0,05).

COMPARISON OF BLEACHING EFFICACY AND COLOR STABILITY OF
DIFFERENT IN-OFFICE BLEACHING SYSTEMS

ABSTRACT

Aim: The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the
bleaching efficacy and colour stability of different in-office bleaching
systems.

Materials and Methods: Eighty
enamel-dentin samples were stained with Orange II dye solution to standardize
the severity of discoloration before bleaching process. Samples were randomly
divided into four (n = 20): (1) 40% hydrogen peroxide gel (Opalescence Boost
PF) (OB); (2) 25% hydrogen peroxide with light activation (Zoom 2) (Z2), (3)
38% hydrogen peroxide with light activation (Signal Professional White Now)
(SP), and (4) no bleaching (control group). Color values were measured using a
dental spectrophotometer. After bleaching, the teeth were re-stained for 9 days
using red wine. The color differences after bleaching and after re-satining
were reported as
DE1 and DE2, respectively. The color difference values of study
groups were compared using one-way ANOVA and Bonferonni tests (
a = 0.05). The difference between DE1 and DE2 values of each group were analyzed using paired
samples t-test (
a = 0.05).

Results: All bleaching systems revealed higher DE1 and DE2 values than control group (p<0.05).  There was no differences between DE1 and  DE2 values of SP and Z2 systems, while OB produced lower
DE1 and DE2 values than these systems (p<0.05).

Conclusions: Light
activated bleaching systems produced higher bleaching efficacy  compared to bleaching system without light
activation. However, they showed higher staining susceptibility after bleaching
than bleaching system without light activation.

Key words: Bleaching, hydrogen peroxide, light activator
