Aim:
This study was conducted to assess the effect of the guide nursing
course on the opinions of nurses about guide nursing.
Materials
and Methods: The sample of the study was 221 nurses who
worked in a university hospital and agreed to participate in the research. Data
from the pre-test and post-test single-group semi-experimental study were
collected before and after the guide nursing course using the questionnaire
form between 06-08 February 2017. The number, percentage, mean and standard
deviation of the study were analyzed with McNemar tests.
Results:
When the opinions of the nurses on the duties of the guide nurse were
examined, it was stated that "undertaking the responsibility of the
educator in practice" (p<0.001) and "providing necessary evidences
to evaluate the student's success" (p<0.001) opinions were found to
change significantly in the positive direction after the training compared to
before the training. When the opinions of the nurses on the role
behaviors of the guide nurse were examined, it was determined that
"addressing students by name" (p<0.001), "no repressive
attitudes when mentoring" (p<0.001), "interviewing with the
student about how to improve performance (p<0.001), "critical thinking
and helping to investigate the subjects in depth" (p<0.001) opinions
were found to change significantly in the positive direction after the training
compared to before the training.
Conclusion:
These findings showed that the given courses have a positive influence
on the opinions of nurses about guide nursing.
ÖZET
Amaç: Bu araştırma, hemşirelik eğitiminde görev alacak hemşirelere verilen rehber hemşire kursunun
hemşirelerin rehber hemşirelik hakkındaki görüşlerine etkisini incelemek
amacıyla yapıldı.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmanın örneklemini bir üniversite
hastanesinde çalışan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 220 hemşire oluşturdu.
Ön test-son test tek gruplu yarı deneysel olarak yapılan araştırmanın verileri
06-08 Şubat 2017 tarihleri arasında anket formu kullanılarak rehber hemşire
kursundan önce ve sonra toplandı. Araştırmanın verileri sayı, yüzde, ortalama
ve standart sapma, Mcnemar testleri ile analiz edildi.
Bulgular: Hemşirelerin rehber hemşirenin
görevlerine dair görüşleri incelendiğinde, “uygulamada eğitimci sorumluluğunu
üstlenmek” (p<0.001) ve “öğrencinin başarısını değerlendirmek için gerekli
kanıtları sağlamak” (p<0.001) görüşleri ile; hemşirelerin rehber hemşirenin
rol davranışlarına dair görüşleri incelendiğinde ise, “öğrencilerin psikomotor
becerileri geliştirmesini sağlama” (p<0.001), “öğrenciye ismiyle hitap etme”
(p<0.001), “danışmanlık yaparken baskıcı tutum göstermeme” (p<0.001),
“performansı nasıl geliştireceği hakkında öğrenci ile görüşme” (p<0.001),
“eleştirel düşünme ve konuları derinlemesine araştırmaya yardım etme” (p<0.001)
görüşleri, eğitim sonrasında eğitim öncesine göre önemli bir
şekilde pozitif yönde değiştiği belirlendi.
Sonuç: Bu bulgular, hemşirelere verilen kursun
hemşirelerin rehber hemşirelik hakkındaki görüşlerini olumlu yönde etkilediğini
göstermektedir.
