Abstract
The sltort story 'Die Griechische Taen.zerin' of Arthur Schnitzler is dense with woman's problems
and a view of woman's oppressions. The female character in th_e story wo is scarred by the
letions of life gives an image of a battered woman. Mathilde who is vulnerable shares the some
psychopathologic idendity problems with Giilef. Schnitzler brings his solutions to individual and
social problems that are in the perspective of tghe 2(/h . zn thie ruins, the throes of death is
the geography where this woman lives with her helpnesnes and lonelenes.
In the story 'Ruhumu Opmeyi Unuttum' Aral conveys to her readers the expressens of a women and
her irregular relationships which turn into problematic behavior in a philosophical and
sociological view.
