Arapça Öğreniminde Motivasyonun Rolü: Atatürk Üniversitesi İlâhiyat Fakültesi Örneği

Abstract

Yabancı/ikinci bir dili öğrenmede güdüsel alt
yapının rolünü ve etkisini açıklama gayretleri, zamanla birçok araştırmayı,
tartışmayı beraberinde getirmiş ve sonuçta “motivasyon” gerçeğine ulaşılmıştır.
“Motivasyon”, yabancı dil öğrenim sürecini ve kalitesini doğrudan etkileyen
unsurlardan biridir. Bu bağlamda, süreci yaşayan öğrencilerin tercih ettiği
motivasyon türünün ve düzeyinin belirlenmesi, süreç hakkında genel çıkarımlara
gidilebilmesi ve ileride süreci daha iyi yönetmeye dönük değişikliklerin
yapılması açısından önemlidir. 
Yukarıdaki öngörüden hareketle Atatürk Üniversitesi
İlahiyat Fakültesi 2014-2017 öğretim yılları arasında hazırlık sınıflarında
Arapça dersi alan öğrencilere bir motivasyon anketi uygulanmıştır. Böylece,
fakültemiz öğrencilerinin motivasyon düzeyleri ve bu düzeylerin oluşmasında
etkili olan faktörler, hangi motivasyon tipine sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir.
Ortaya çıkan sayısal sonuçlar değerlendirilmiş, anlamlandırılmaya çalışılmış ve
birtakım önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
