Sexuality education is a concept that is effective in the process of developing a positive personality of individuals from the beginning of life. The issue of reproduction, which includes children's questions of "how did I become/where did I come from", is a part of sexuality education. In order to reveal the contents of the messages in the books in detail, this research was carried out through document analysis. According to the results, it was seen that the themes determined in most of the books were included in different ways. The contents and details of the books became different. Findings were discussed considering the suitability of sexuality education for age and developmental level, standards and content of sexuality education. Specifying the content of illustrated children's books, which are a tool that can be used in sexuality education, and the age group they address, guiding parents in sexuality education, determination and implementation of standards suitable for age and developmental level in sexuality education will contribute to the healthy sexuality education of children.

Year 2023, Volume: 56 Issue: 2, 651 - 704, 26.07.2023
