Abstract
Objective: Although Turkey is one of the important chickpea producer countries in the world, production and trade statistics show that chickpea production areas should be increased. In the regions where chickpea will be cultivated, it is of great importance to determine the suitable varieties for environmental factors. Siirt province is among the provinces where chickpea production can be expanded in our country. Determining the adaptation of standard recorded varieties in the province will be useful in choosing the right variety. In this study, it was aimed to determine the adaptation of 14 different recorded chickpea varieties in the ecological conditions of Siirt province and to make a variety recommendation suitable for the region.
Materials and Methods: The study was carried out in Aydınlar district of Siirt province. The material of the study; Aziziye 94, Aksu, Çağatay, İnci, Güney Sarısı (ILC 482), Diyar 95, Işık 05, Yaşar 05, Canıtez 87, Hisar, Uzunlu 99, Akçin 91, Küsmen 99 and Gökçe chickpea varieties. The study was carried out according to the random plot trial design. In the study, the phenological and morphological development of the plants and their yield values were determined. The data obtained were subjected to variance analysis with Duncan multiple comparison test.
Results: The average growing time of the varieties varied between 20.3-22.7 days, and the growing time between 111.0 and 115.0 days. Plant height values are 38.1-52.8 cm, the number of pods per plant is 8.0-19.3, the grain yield per plant is 3.60-6.83 g, the grain yield is 85.7-200.5 kg / da, the weight of one hundred grains is 27.93- 40.70 g, the harvest index values are between 37.40-44.53%. has changed.
Conclusion: At the end of the study, it was determined that the Işık-05 variety, which had the highest values in terms of grain yield, hundred grain weight and harvest index values, was recommended for the region.
