The
aim of the study is to measure the perception of the academicians, officers, subcontractors
working at Karabük University related to eco-tourism. For this purpose, 332
people were interviewed using the face-to-face survey technique.
"Independent-Samples t" and "One-Way Anova" tests were used
for the analysis of the obtained data. In this context, it was observed that the
eco-tourism perception and eco-tourism socio-cultural dimension differed significantly
according to the gender of Karabük University staff participated in the research.
Therefore, it can be said that the socio-cultural perceptions of the women
participating in the research are more positive than the male participants,
which is the eco-tourism and eco-tourism sub-dimension. According to the age groups
of the university staff, the environmental perception and the socio-cultural differences
regarding eco-tourism, differ. Therefore, the environmental perception of
eco-tourism of people aged between 31-35 is more negative compared to those aged
over 40, and socio-cultural perception is found to be more positive than those aged
36-40 years. According to the marital status, eco-tourism perception,
eco-tourism economic dimension and environment dimension are found to show
significant differences.
