Educational Mobile Application Development Process for Mathematics Acquisitions of 5th Grade Secondary School Students

Abstract

In order to adapt to a changing and developing world, people are expected to have the skills to keep up with the same change and development. In the field of education, it is of great importance that both learners and teachers have new skills. In this context, new methods and techniques are used in education to increase students' interest and motivation. One of these methods is mobile learning supported instruction using mobile technologies. In this context, mobile learning applications that support students' learning process come to the fore. In this study, an educational mobile application was developed for mathematics teaching in which lectures and various tests based on animations and educational games were designed to contribute to education. The development process of the application is explained in detail and it is designed to support learning in different learning styles.

Ortaokul 5. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Matematik Kazanımlarına Yönelik Eğitsel Mobil Uygulama Geliştirme Süreci

Abstract

Değişen ve gelişen dünyaya uyum sağlayabilmek için insanların da aynı değişim ve gelişime ayak uydurabilecek becerilere sahip olması beklenmektedir. Eğitim alanında hem öğrenenlerin hem de öğretmenlerin yeni becerilere sahip olması büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu kapsamda eğitimde öğrencilerin ilgi ve motivasyonu artıracak yeni yöntem ve teknikler kullanılmaktadır. Bu yöntemlerden biri mobil teknolojiler kullanılarak mobil öğrenme destekli öğretim gerçekleştirmektir. Bu bağlamda öğrencilerin öğrenme sürecini destekleyici mobil öğrenme uygulamaları ön plana çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmada da eğitim öğretime katkı sağlamak için animasyonlar ve eğitsel oyunlarla konu anlatımlarının ve çeşitli testlerin tasarlandığı matematik öğretimine yönelik eğitsel mobil uygulama geliştirilmiştir. Uygulamanın geliştirilme süreci detaylı olarak anlatılmış ve farklı öğrenme biçimlerinde öğrenmeyi destekleyici şekilde kullanılabilmesi için tasarlanmıştır.
