Abstract
The aim of this study is to reveal the factors affecting women's labor force participation in the TRC1 (Gaziantep, Adıyaman, and Kilis) region. In the study, especially the employment rate, labor force participation rate and unemployment rate of women were emphasized. In the TRC1 region, data on the employment rates of women according to their education level, age and economic activities were analyzed. Labor force statistics published by TURKSTAT were used for the study data. In addition, various publications and previous studies on the subject were used. It has been determined that female employment rate and labor force participation rate in TRC1 region are lower than that of men, but the unemployment rate is higher. Factors affecting women's participation in employment are; marital status, education level, age and unpaid family work. In the study, it was revealed that as the education level of women increased, the employment rate increased, the unemployment rate reached the highest level in the 20-24 age group, and the most important reason for not participating in the labor force was dealing with housework.
