Bir Üniversite Hastanesinde Sürekli İşçi Statüsünde Çalışanların Motivasyon ve Ruhsal Durumlarının Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Motivasyon başta iş yaşamı olmak üzere günlük hayatın her alanını etkileyen ve ruhsal durumdan direk olarak etkilenen bir kavramdır. Çalışmanın amacı bir üniversitesi hastanesinde sürekli işçi statüsünde çalışanların motivasyon düzeylerinin saptanması, ilişkili olduğu düşünülen değişkenlerin incelenmesi, depresyon, anksiyete ve stres düzeylerinin değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışma, Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Hastanesinde çalışan 798 işçi ile yapılan kesitsel tipte bir araştırmadır. Çalışanların iş motivasyonu düzeylerinin belirlenmesi için Çok Boyutlu İş Motivasyon Ölçeği (ÇBİMÖ), depresyon, anksiyete ve stres durumlarının değerlendirilmesinde ise Depresyon Anksiyete Stres Ölçeği-21 kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubundakilerin ÇBİMÖ’den aldıkları puanlara göre iş motivasyonlarının orta düzeyde olduğu söylenebilir. İşçilerden 40 ve üzeri yaş grubunda olanların, evli olanların ve eşinden ayrı/eşi vefat etmiş olanların, bir ve daha fazla sayıda çocuğu olanların, çalışma süresi 5 yıl ve üzerinde olanların ÇBİMÖ’den aldıkları puanların daha düşük olduğu saptanmıştır. Depresyon, anksiyete ve stres bozukluğu şüphesi olanlarla olmayanlar arasında ÇBİMÖ’den aldıkları puanlar açısından bir fark olmadığı saptanmıştır.

Evaluation of Motivation and Mental Status of Permanent Workers in a University Hospital

Abstract

Motivation is a concept that affects all areas of daily life, especially work life, and is directly affected by mental state. The aim of this study is determine the motivation levels of workers in a university hospital, to examine the variables that are thought to be related and to evaluate the mental states’. This cross-sectional study is conducted on 798 workers. Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale (MWMS) and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale-21 were used. The work motivation of the participants is at a moderate level. Those who were in the age group of 40 and above, who were married/separated from their spouses, who had one or more children, and who had been working for 5 years or more had lower scores on the MDWMS. There was no difference between those who had suspected depression, anxiety and stress disorders and those who did not in terms of the scores they obtained from the MDWMS.
