FATİH projesi kapsamında geliştirilen EBA uygulaması içeriklerle zenginleştirilerek kullanımı giderek artmaktadır. EBA uygulamasını kullanan öğretmenlerin teknoloji kullanımıyla ilgili alt yapıya sahip olması gerekmektedir. Bu bağlamda fen bilimleri öğretmenlerin EBA kullanım durumunun farklı değişkenlerle doğrudan ilgili olduğu düşünülmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı Aksaray Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı’na bağlı okullarda görev yapan Fen Bilimleri Öğretmenlerinin EBA bilgi düzeyi ve kullanma durumlarının belirlenmesidir. Araştırma nicel araştırma yöntemine göre betimsel ve ilişkisel tarama modelinde yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılında Aksaray’da MEB’e bağlı ortaokullarda görev yapan 50 kadın, 15 erkek olmak üzere toplam 65 fen bilimleri öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak 2 aşamadan oluşan EBA Bilgi Düzeyi ve Kullanım Durumları Ölçeği geliştirilip, uygulanmış ve sonuçlar SPSS programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucu EBA’nın amacına uygun kullanıldığını gösterse de kullanma sıklıklarının istenilen seviyede olmadığı görülmüştür. EBA platformuna yönelik tespit edilen sorunlara yönelik çözüm üretilerek, EBA’nın belirlenen hedefler doğrultusunda amacına ulaşmasına katkı sağlanabilir.
The FATIH Project in Education was initiated with the active use of information technology tools in lessons and the learning-teaching process to appeal to more sense organs in order to achieve the effects of final results in consumers and opportunity targets in education and training (MEB, 2020). EIN, one of the subprojects of the FATIH Project, was established to support the implementation of the e-content provision and management component. The aim of the EIN platform is to integrate technology into education by providing reliable and accurate e-contents suitable for grade levels by using information technology tools” (MEB, 2016).
In our country, the EIN application within the scope of the FATIH project is enriched in terms of content and its use is increasing. Since it contains a large number of digital content, it ensures that it is actively used by both teachers and students. Due to the rapid development of technology and its reflection on education, there is a need to update the researches in this field. At the same time, teachers who use the EIN application should have the infrastructure related to the use of technology.
The spread of the Covid 19 epidemic, which emerged in China in 2019, has brought about many changes in education and other fields. In this period when countries were caught unprepared for the epidemic, with the first case seen in our country, it was decided by the Ministry of National Education to interrupt face-to-face education and continue through EIN in order to continue the education and training process in the form of distance education (MEB, 2020). EIN, whose content has been prepared by an experienced team; It has entered the daily life of teachers and students with educational materials, simulation, interactive applications and animations. This platform, which combines education and technology, collects content compatible with the MEB curriculum on a specific website in a way that is suitable for all grade levels, allowing easy access to information anywhere and anytime (Alabay, 2015).
In this study, the use cases of EIN, which is included in the FATIH Project, were investigated by science teachers. With this research, the analysis of EIN will contribute to the development of FATIH Project and to make EIN a functional and beneficial application with the results obtained. Awareness of teachers will have a positive effect on education and training life. In this context, it is thought that science teachers EIN use is directly related to different variables (gender, age, seniority, education level, pre-service technology education, etc.). The aim of this study is to determine the EIN knowledge levels and usage situations of Science Teachers working in schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Aksaray. The research was carried out in descriptive and relational survey model according to the quantitative research method. The sample of the research consists of 65 science teachers, 50 female and 15 male, working in secondary schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in the province of Aksaray in the 2022-2023 academic year. As a data collection tool for this purpose, the EIN Knowledge Level and Use Cases Scale, which consists of 2 stages, was developed, and after the scale items were prepared, it was finalized by consulting experts for content and face validity. The frequency and percentage values of the data obtained in descriptive statistics were interpreted by making analyzes with the SPSS26 package program.Although it has been shown that EIN is used in accordance with its purpose by the teachers in line with the applications, it has been observed that the frequency of use is not at the desired level. It has been concluded that although the teachers have knowledge about the use of EIN, they do not have enough information because they are indecisive about the Let's Discuss module, the Voice module, the News module and the EIN market (tablet applications).
By examining the EIN website with various researches, solutions can be found to the identified problems and it can be contributed to the goal of the site in line with the determined targets. Within the scope of in-service training, the scope of trainings on the use of EIN can be expanded, followed by training on the use of different training applications and web 2.0 tools. In this way, better quality content can be produced by educating teachers who are better equipped in content production. It can be said that there is a need for studies that will encourage science teachers to use EIN and that studies should be carried out in this area. Development studies for the EIN platform can be carried out in line with the demands and wishes of the teachers.
