Bulletin of The Mineral Research and Exploration is a peer-reviewed scientific journal which has been published since 1936 and is one of the longest publication time in the field of earth sciences. Bulletin of the Mineral Research and Exploration publishes original scientific research and review papers, discussion/reply and short notes about all aspects of the geosciences.

It has been published as a single journal between 1936-1985 including articles in Turkish, English, French and German, and since 1985 it has been published as two journals in Turkish and English languages. Besides, Bulletin of the Mineral Research and Exploration has been publishing in Turkish and English 3 times in a year since 2019. There is no admission fee, article processing fee and printing fee for the articles sent to the journal for publication. Articles sent to MTA Journal are subjected to plagiarism screening by the Editorial Board via intihal.net. In case of plagiarism or self-plagiarism, articles are rejected before starting peer-review process. MTA Magazine is published as a fully open access journal. Full text content of the articles can be accessed free of charge on the internet. Non-commercial use and distribution in any medium is permitted, and the author and journal are regularly cited.
