Abstract
Bu çalışmada, daha çok yeni korumacılık uygulamalarının neden olduğu ticaret savaşlarının dünya ekonomisi üzerindeki etkilerinin açıklanması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda 1990-2020 dönemi için SVAR analizi kullanılarak ampirik bir model oluşturulmuştur. Uygulama bulguları, yeni korumacılık araç ve politikalarının kısa vadede dünya ticaretinde kalıcı etkiler yarattığını; ancak bu etkiler uzun vadede ortadan kalktığını göstermektedir. Ticaret savaşlarının kazananı yoktur. Uzun vadede asıl amaç dünya ekonomisinde refahı artırmak ise, dünya ticaretini olumsuz etkileyen yeni korumacılık uygulamalarından kaçınılmalıdır.

Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to explain the effects of trade wars, which are mostly caused by new protectionism practices, on the world economy. In this direction, an empirical model is created using the SVAR analysis for the period of 1990-2020. Application findings show that new protectionism tools and policies have permanent effects on world trade in the short term; however, these effects disappear in the long term. Trade wars have no winners. If the main goal, in the long run, is to increase welfare in the world economy, new protectionism practices, that have negative effects on world trade, should be avoided.
