Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the perception time performance levels of the athletes between the ages of 14-18 who take part in team and combat sports. Athletes from basketball, futsal and volleyball from team sports and from wrestling, karate and taekwondo from combat sports participated in the research. The study group of the research consisted of a total of 123 athletes, 61 men and 62 women, between the ages of 14-18. In the research, Bassin Anticipation Timer was used to measure the sensing time. All data obtained in the study were recorded in the SPSS program and analysed. Since the data showed normal distribution according to the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test result, Independent Sample t-Test was used to determine the differences between categories and gender, and ANOVA Test was used to determine the differences between branches. Significance level was accepted as p<0.05. s a result of statistical analysis; It has been determined that the sensing time values of the athletes who do team sports are better than the values of the athletes who do combat sports. In team athletes, the anticipation time values of the athletes in the volleyball branch are better than the anticipation time values of the basketball and futsal players. In combat athletes, 6 mph values of taekwondo athletes are compared to wrestling and karate values; 12 mph values of karate athletes were also found to be better than the values of wrestling and taekwondo athletes. While the sensing time values of male athletes were better than female athletes, there was a significant difference between 12 mph values. As a result, since the structural, physical or perceptual-cognitive characteristics of sports branches differ, it can be said that it is important for success to determine the perception time levels of the athletes and to plan training according to the sports branch, the characteristics of the athletes or gender differences.
