Abstract

Abstract
Castleman’s disease (CD), also known as angiofollicular lymph node hyperplasia or giant lymph node hyperplasia, is a rare benign disease with an unknown etiology. It is more common in adults, but can be seen at all ages from childhood. Although it is often located in the thorax, it can be found throughout the body. Histologically classified as hyaline vascular and plasma cell variant. Most of unicentric disease is hyalin vascular and most of multicentric disease is plasma cell type histologically.
We report the case of a 6-year-old girl who was diagnosed with acute rheumatic fever at the beginning, but was found to be histologically rare plasma cell variant CD when examined during hospitalization.
