BÖLGESEL KALKINMADA HAVALİMANI ROLLERİ: İŞLETİCİLER İÇİN ÖNERİLER

Abstract

Havacılık sektörü hızlı büyüme verileri ile ekonomiye yüksek katma değer sağlayan bir sektör olarak her geçen gün gelişimini arttırmaktadır. Bu gelişim uçak üreticilerinden, havalimanı işleticilerine kadar sektör içindeki birçok oyuncunun faaliyetlerini etkilemektedir. Sektörün yakın ve uzak çevresi ile olan ilişkisi de hava taşımacılık faaliyetlerinin etkilerinin daha geniş bir alana yayılmasına zemin hazırlamaktadır. Uçuş operasyonlarına yer ve hava arası aktarım olanağı tanıyan havalimanları, havacılık sektörü için önemli bir stratejik birim olarak kabul edilmektedir. Havalimanlarının özelleştirilerek ticarileştirilmesi yaklaşımı da meydanların yönetimini daha kurumsal ve profesyonel hale getirmektedir. Diğer taraftan, havalimanları, bulundukları bölgelerin ekonomisini canlandırarak kalkınmayı hızlandırmaktadır. Bu kapsamda, havalimanı ile ilişkili doğrudan ve dolaylı işlerde istihdam yaratılması, yeni iş alanlarının oluşturulması ve ilişkili sektörlerin gelişiminin desteklenmesi kalkınmanın itici gücünü oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada ise havalimanlarının ekonomik rollerini belirlemek ve bölgesel kalkınmayı hızlandıracak öneriler sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma amacı doğrultusunda, kavramsal çerçeve incelenmiş ve havalimanı işleticileri için öneriler oluşturulmuştur.
