The aim of this study is to reveal teachers’ opinions on values education in secondary schools. For this purpose, this study utilized qualitative research design and case study model. The study group was 30 teachers working in different secondary schools. The study group was determined by using criterion sampling method. Data were analyzed by using inductive content analysis and descriptive analysis technique. As a result of the content analysis, three main themes were determined: values, methods and teaching values. According to the views of teachers values that should be primarily gained in secondary schools were: honesty, benevolence, respect, tolerance, justice, patriotism, re-sponsibility, and diligence. The participants stated that they benefited more from the methods and techniques such as; role-modelling, cases, storytelling with drama technique in teaching the values in secondary schools. Participants also stated that values education should be continued based on an effective planning and cooperation in the form of reflection, encouragement, and exemplary actions. Teachers suggested that values should be included under the learning outcome in the curriculum, and they should be internalized by students through applied activities while teachers, administrators and parents should be role-models for students.
