This article aims to analyze some aspects of Abū Ḥanīfa’s conception of faith from a philosophical point of view. In the article, firstly, Abū Ḥanīfa’s views on the understanding of religion and the relationship between evidence and faith are discussed. Then, his views on the definition of faith, the locality of faith and the distinction between faith and deeds are examined, respectively. In the conclusion part, the importance of the understanding of faith by Abū Ḥanīfa in terms of reason-faith debates in contemporary religious philosophy is pointed out. The main theses defended in the article are as follows: 1. Abū Ḥanīfa has a evidentialist conceptin of religion; according to him, faith must be based on evidence 2. To define faith and formulate the principles of faith, it is necessary to accept the theory of assent. 3. In logical terms, faith and blasphemy are contradictory terms, there is no a third option between them. 4. The issue of the distinction between faith and deeds is also a debate with legal and political dimensions.
