Abstract
Flamingos, long-legged and long-necked water bird, form the order Phoenicopteriformes, which consists of the family Phoenicopteridae. Two of these six species of these birds, two of which are distributed in the Old World continents and four in the Americas, are also found in Türkiye. In this article, the status of Greater Flamingo – Phoenicopterus roseus Pallas, 1811 and Lesser Flamingo – Phoeniconaias minor (Geoffroy Saint-Hilaire, 1798) in Türkiye from past to present has been compiled and presented.
