ASLAN BALIĞI Pterois miles (Bennett, 1828)’NIN, EDREMİT KÖRFEZİ’NDEN İLAVE KAYDI

Year 2023, Volume: 6 Issue: 12, 19 - 28, 30.12.2023

Abstract

An Additional Record of Lionfish Pterois miles (Bennett, 1828) in Edremit Bay

Year 2023, Volume: 6 Issue: 12, 19 - 28, 30.12.2023

Abstract

A single lionfish, Pterois miles (Bennett, 1828), was photographed and sampled with diving during a scientific survey at 12 meters depth in Edremit Bay (Güneş Island/ Ayvalık) in June 2023. The lionfish was first detected in Edremit Bay in 2022. This study supports the continued spread of the species in this area.
