The amount of carbohydrate, protein and lipids were determined in larvae, pupae and adult of S. nonagrioides corn pest and larvae 0.34 mg; pupae at 0.43 mg in adults is 0.30 mg (female) and 0.60 mg (male) ranged between recorded. The amount of carbohydrates decreased to 0.4 mg in the pupal stage than the larval stage, 0.9-0.26 mg in adults has increased. The amount of protein was seen in larvae at 1.96 mg; in pupa at 1.63 mg; in adults; 2.22 mg (females) and 3.18 mg (males) and likened to larval stage, pupae were found to decrease 0.33 mg, in contrast to, the adult stage was found to increase from 0.26 to 1.22 mg. The amount of lipid in the larvae of S. nonagrioides at 0.55 mg; pupae at 0.48 mg; in the adult stage 0.71 mg (females) – 1.05 mg (males), respectively. Distinctly the larval stage, the content of lipid in the pupal stage decreased 0.07 mg, and it showed an increase between changing from 0.16 to 0.5 mg in adults compared to larval stage. As a result, amounts of carbohydrate, protein and lipid accumulated the body structure of the larval period have changed in a subsequent periods, it was determined that a decrease in the pupal stage and an increase in the adult stage
Tarım zararlılarına karşı aşırı kimyasal kullanımına alternatif olarak biyolojik mücadele yöntemleri oldukça önemlidir. Alternatif yöntemlerin denenmesinde ve geliştirilmesinde zararlı böceklerin birçok özelliklerinin bilinmesi, laboratuvarda kitle üretimi yapmayı kolaylaştırması mümkündür. Bu çalışmada S. nonagrioides’in farklı evrelerinde protein, karbohidrat ve lipit miktarlarının değişimleri incelenmiştir. Protein, karbohidrat ve lipit içerikleri pupa evresinde azalırken, erginlerde özellikle erkek bireylerde artış gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bu değerlerin S. nonagrioides’in laboratuvar şartlarında kitle üretiminin yapılmasına katkı sağlayarak, alternatif yöntemlerin geliştirilmesine katkı sağlayacağı kanısındayız.
