Ülkemizde havaalanı pistlerinde, terminallerde, otopark sahalarında ve şehir içi yollarda, beton
kaplamaların yapımı yaygınlaşmaktadır.
Bu çalışmada kaplama kalınlık ve maliyet karşılaştırması için, Bitümlü Sıcak Karışım (BSK) kaplama ve bir
Reaktif Pudra Beton tipi olan Sanayi Atık Lifli Reaktif Pudra Beton (SANLİF-RPB) kaplama olmak üzere 2
tip kaplama seçilmiştir. SANLİF-RPB’un basınç ve eğilme dayanımları deneysel olarak bulunmuştur.
SANLİF-RPB’un basınç ve eğilme dayanım sonuçlarıyla, beton yol kaplama kalınlıkları hesaplanmıştır.
Hesaplanan kaplama kalınlık değerleri ile kaplama maliyet hesapları yapılmıştır. Çalışmada kaplama
kalınlıkları ve maliyet hesaplama sonuçları karşılaştırılarak, BSK ve SANLİF-RPB yol kaplamalarının
ekonomik irdelemesi yapılmıştır.
Çalışmada; Eşdeğer Tek Dingil Yükü Tekerrür Sayısı (W8,2) 10x106 olan yol kaplamasında, SANLİF-RPB
kaplama kalınlığı 14.73 cm ve asfalt kaplama kalınlığı 19 cm olarak bulunmuştur. Çalışma sonucunda,
maliyet olarak W8.2=10x106 değerine göre 1 km yol uzunluğu için, SANLİF-RPB kaplama maliyetinin, BSK
kaplama maliyetinden %20.99 daha ekonomik olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.
Flexible pavement; surfacing consists of basis and
sub-basis layers. High-standards highway and
motorways are made of layers which have got
bituminous hot mixtures. Rigid pavement occurs
from sub-basis and concrete surfacing which are
made on it.
Construction of concrete pavement has become
widespread in places such as airports, parking lots,
terminals and urban roads in our country.
In this study, 2 types of pavement as Hot Mixture
Asphalt (HMA) pavement and Industrial Waste Steel
Fibrous Reactive Powder Concrete (IWFIB-RPC)
pavement were compared for pavement thickness
and cost comparison.
On this study, CEM II/A-M (P-L) 42.5 R type
concrete has been used on the production of IWFIBRPC.
Steel fibers as industrial waste have been
procured from Bitlis Industrial Vocational and
Technical High School. Steel fibers which are waste
from industrial steel material production in machine
atelier at the high school have been used on the
production of IWFIB-RPC samples as getting to the
laboratory of the construction department in Bitlis
Eren University, Technical Sciences Vocational
School.
Steel fibers have got 0-1 mm diameter and 0-10 mm
length meanly. IWFIB-RPC has been used in citywater
as mixture water. HMA surfacing asphalt
concrete 50/70 has been chosen for the calculation
of thickness and cost.
On the study, Mooney's suspension viscosity model
rating has been considered for mixture amount of
IWFIB-RPC production. Sample patterns are
50x50x50 mm for pressure samples and 50x50x300
mm for flexure samples.
Any compaction pressure has not been applied
during the socket on the production of IWFIB-RPC.
Samples have been placed as being skewered in
patterns. IWFIB-RPC’s which have been taken from
pattern after 24 hours have been taken 28-days 20°C
standard water cure.
Unit prices for 2014 have been taken from the list of
unit price of GDH and the Ministry of Environment
and Urban Planning, by types of layer. For IWFIBRPC,
769 kg CEM II/A-M (P-L) 42.5 R type
concrete have been used on 1 m3 mixture. Total
surface area of road has been calculated as 24 000
m2
.
Compressive and flexural strength of IWFIB-RPC
were obtained experimentally. IWFIB-RPC
pavement thickness was calculated according to the
compressive and flexural strength results. Besides,
pavement costs were calculated.
In the study, economical evaluation of HMA
pavement and IWFIB-RPC pavement was performed
by comparison of pavement thickness and cost
results.
IWFIB-RPC and HMA pavement thicknesses were
calculated as 14.73 cm and 19 cm, respectively,
according to the Equivalent Single-Axe Load
Absolute Frequency (W8.2) 10x106
.
For flexible pavement, the thicknesses of wearing
layer (surface + binder + asphalt pavement base
course), base course and sub-base course were
calculated as 19 cm, 15 cm and 20 cm, respectively.
For rigid pavement, the thicknesses of IWFIB-RPC
and sub-base course were calculated as 14.73 cm
and 20 cm, respectively.
As a result of study, it was found that IWFIB-RPC
rigid pavement can be constructed as 35.68% lower
thickness compared to BSK flexible pavement for
equal traffic loading.
IWFIB-RPC pavement cost was calculated as 1 122
380 TL and HMA pavement cost was calculated as 1
420 503 TL under the 8.2 Tones Equivalent SingleAxe
Load Absolute Frequency (W8.2) 10x106

it was obtained that cost of IWFIB-RPC pavement is
20.99% more economic than the cost of HMA
pavement for 1 km road distance
