Today, the widespread use of the internet has caused radical transformations in the publishing sector as well as in many other sectors. In our country, newspapers and magazines meet with readers by publishing over the internet. E-journalism is preferred more and more by publishers and readers every day because of its advantages in terms of printed journalism. Especially young people who are familiar with the birth digit, which we can call Y belt, meet the needs of information and news, entertainment, socialization, innovations and follow up the agenda on the internet and digital media.
In this study, historical developments of humor press and important humor magazines in our country, concepts of e-publishing and e-magazines, aspects of e-journalism separated from printed magazines, literature review in electronic humor magazines. In addition, a field survey was conducted to determine the frequency and reasons for university students to determine the reading rates of printed journals and e-journals, to determine reading durations, to determine which categories they were interested in in print and e-journals, and to follow up e-humor journals. Research data is obtained from closed-end and 5 point Likert scale. The questionnaire was answered by the participants between April 1 and June 30, 2016. As a result of the research, it is seen that the majority of university students are more interested in electronic journals than printed journals, and they prefer to access the contents via internet free of charge. In addition, students support the view that electronic magazines will come to a more important position in the future, but they do not give a clear view of whether or not your printed magazine will be completely out of the question.
