Abstract
The aim of this study is to identify the poems dedicated to Yunus Emre and try to reveal the poet’s perceptions of Yunus Emre. For this, a bibliographic list was prepared by scanning the poems written for Yunus Emre since 1913, when Yunus Emre was introduced to Turkish literature, from anthologies and varius sources, especially the special issues of the periodicals prepared for the poet; based on this list, a classification attempt was made in the poems analyzed. Yunus Emre is seen as a poet who noctures folk literature, lodge literature and minstral literature as the source of national literature and national conciousness and is seen as a poet who express universal themes such as love, right and justice by some poets and writers who evaluate the poet from a humanist worldview. It has been seen that the poems focusing on Yunus Emre’s religious-mystical aspect evaluate him within the Islamic framework. These poems, which diverge from the main portrait of Yunus Emre, often seem ideological or romantic character.
