AİLENİN SOSYO- DEMOGRAFİK ÖZELLİKLERİNİN ÇOCUĞUN OKULDAKİ SOSYAL ETKİNLİKLERE KATILIMI ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİ: TÜRKİYE VE HOLLANDA ARASINDA KARŞILAŞTIRMALI BİR ÇALIŞMA

Abstract

Bu çalışma, ailenin sosyo-demografik özelliklerinin çocuğun okuldaki sosyal etkinliklere katılımı üzerinde 
etkisinin olup olmadığını belirlemeye odaklanmıştır. Bulgular, bireyci toplum özelliği taşıyan Hollanda'da 
ebeveynlerin ve öğretmenlerin çocuğun toplumsallaşmasında ve eğitiminde boş zaman değerlendirmenin 
öncelikli bir değer taşıdığını göstermiştir. Buna karşın, Türk toplumunda kolektivist değerlerle 
toplumsallaşan çocuk, bireysel gereksinimlerin, ilgilerin, özerkliğin ve öz yeterliğin fazla önemsenmediği 
sosyal çevrede yetişmektedir. Bu bağlamda veriler;  Türk ebeveynler ve öğretmenlerin, çocuğun 
toplumsallaşması ve eğitiminde akademik başarıyı  boş zaman değerlendirmeden  çok daha fazla 
önemsediklerini   göstermektedir.
