Kedi ve Köpeklerde Abdominal Cerrahi ve Jinekolojik Operasyonlar Sonrası İntra-Abdominal Adezyon Oluşumu ve Medikal Olarak Önlenmesi

Year 2017, Volume: 14 Issue: 1, 61 - 72, 04.04.2017

Abstract

İntra-abdominal

Intra-Abdominal Adhesion Physiology and Prevention with medical treatment after Gynecologic Operations in Cats and Dogs

Year 2017, Volume: 14 Issue: 1, 61 - 72, 04.04.2017

Abstract

Intra-abdominal adhesions may occur after
abdominal surgical approach, especially gynecological operations, represent
important clinical symptoms such as pain and intestinal or urethral
obstruction. The formation of fibrin in the abdominal cavity is essential for
adhesion pathophysiology. Several clinical studies were done about prevention
of intra-abdominal adhesions. Aim of these studies was to understand adhesion
mechanism and to prevent adhesion formations. For this purpose, many agents are
used with different mechanisms. In this review, it aimed to reveal in detail
the mechanism of adhesion formation, to share prevention of intra-abdominal
adhesions with current treatment methods especially after abdominal surgery and
gynecological operations in cats and dogs with colleagues and clinicians.
