In this study, the sustainability adventures of family businesses in Hatay were examined. 15 family businesses were selected by random sampling method. Life times of businesses, employee numbers, difficulties they faced were tried to create their survival stories. Within the scope of the study, interview technique was applied from qualitative research methods. It was tried to determine the survival stories by addressing the family members with 39 open-ended questions including three sub-dimensions of sustainability (economic, social and environmental). As a result of the research, it is seen that businesses can reach up to the third generation, that the founders' leading qualifications and vision are effective in their sustainability, and that family members come up through the ranks. In addition, some problems such as conflicts between family and business values from time to time, family competition, reflection of the problems in private life to work and intergenerational disputes stand out as the problems encountered across businesses. Conducting our research only in Hatay province and with 15 family businesses creates an obstacle to the generalizability of the results. The results can be generalized by applying the research questions in more cities and businesses.
