Sanal Dünya ve Web Temelli Öğrenme Ortamlarının Öğrencilerin Akademik Başarıları ve Motivasyonları Açısından Karşılaştırılması

Abstract
Bilgisayar ve internet teknolojisi çok çeşitli ortamlarda uzaktan eğitim faaliyetlerinin yürütülmesine imkan tanımaktadır. Son zamanlarda alternatif uzaktan eğitim ortamları arasına sanal dünyalar katılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın amacı birinci olgunluk düzeyine göre tasarlanmış sanal dünya temelli e-öğrenme ortamı ile web temelli e-öğrenme ortamının öğrenenlerin akademik başarıları, öğrenme stilleri ve motivasyon düzeyleri açısından karşılaştırılmaktır. Araştırmada son test karşılaştırmalı yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya 2011- 2012 eğitim–öğretim yılında Atatürk Üniversitesi, Hemşirelik Lisans Tamamlama Programına kayıtlı 116 öğrenci katılmıştır. Eşzamanlı ve ayrı zamanlı öğrenme aktiviteleri ile yürütülen 8 haftalık uygulamanın sonunda öğrencilere başarı testi uygulanmıştır. Motivasyon anketi, öğrenme stilleri envanteri ve görüşme formu ile veri toplanmıştır. Bulgular öğrencilerin web temelli ve sanal dünya temelli ortalamalarda başarı ve motivasyon açısından farklılaşmadığını ve öğrenme stillerine göre başarılarının farklılaşmadığını ortaya koymaktadır.
