Abstract
The purpose of this research is to identify the change in children's leisure activities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The objectives of this study are to determine the effects that the change caused by the effect of the parents and the change caused by the epidemic in the change that occurs on the future lives of children and offer solutions to neutralize the negative effects. In the study, the holistic multi-case design of qualitative research methods was used as the unit of analysis because it is aimed to reveal the interrelationships between pre-epidemic, epidemic process and post-epidemic situations in depth. The data were collected from 32 participants in accordance with the decisions taken during the epidemic process through the Google forms system using an interview form with semi-structured questions developed by the researcher and interpreted by subjecting them to content analysis and interpreted by subjecting to content analysis. As a result of the research, the participants stated that there was a decrease in the mobility and socialization of children during the epidemic period compared to the pre-epidemic period, and this decrease may lead to negativity in children's personality and character development. It is concluded that the fear of getting sick with the epidemic affects children at an advanced level, adopting a controlled social life by following the precautions can help prevent negative effects on children, and family support is important in adapting to social life by minimizing the negative effects on children after the epidemic.
