In this study, the attitudes of students in Social Sciences course in Elementary Education to historical stories have been evaluated with different variables. For this purpose; attitude criterion have been applied to in 6th,7th and 8th grade students in Prof. Dr. Erol Güngör Elemantary School in Kırşehir in 2002-2003 school year. 75 of the applied questionnaires have been found worth to consider. The students\' reactions to the use of historical stories have been found to differ with respect to the students\' gender, grade, socio-economic status, their rate of reading in general, and reading historical stories in particular and the frequency of their watching historical films. For the analysis of data,” t” test and “anova” test have been used. This study, at the end, showed that students\' attitudes to historical stories are highly positive.
Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim Sosyal Bilgiler dersinde öğrencilerin tarihsel hikayeye yönelik tutumları çeşitli değişkenlere göre değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla; 2002-2003 öğretim yılında, rasgele seçilen Kırşehir ili merkez Prof. Dr. Erol Güngör İlköğretim Okulu\'nda okuyan 6. 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinden 100 öğrenciye anket uygulanmıştır. Ancak, 75 anket değerlendirmeye değer bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin, cinsiyet, devam ettiği sınıf, ailesinin sosyo-ekonomik durumu (ekonomik gelirleri, anne ve babasının eğitim durumları), kitap okuma, tarihsel film izleme ve tarihsel hikaye okuma değişkenlerine göre değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bulguların çözümlenmesinde “t testi” ve “anova testleri” kullanılmıştır.
