The importance of decisions that businesses will make in the short, medium, and long term continues to rise due to changes in local dynamics with macro-impacts such as artificial intelligence, automation, crises, and epidemics. In this regard, the subject areas for the studies that will be conducted in the area of international business and management are constantly changing. Various views, including those of complex adaptive systems (CAS), can be used to examine this change. Using bibliometric analysis, this study seeks to synthesize the theoretical and empirical work from studies that use a CAS viewpoint in the business and management fields. Using co-citation and bibliographic coupling analysis, the first step is to investigate the conceptual and intellectual structure of the literature. Then, utilizing keywords from the business and management CAS literature, a thematic analysis is used to explain how the discipline has developed. A study agenda is suggested based on the integrated findings in order to direct the theoretical, empirical, and methodological growth of business and management scholars, particularly in Türkiye, from a CAS viewpoint. The study's most surprising finding is that in the area of global business and management, those who study supply management and supply chains are most likely to embrace the CAS perspective.
