Examining the effect of drought stress on above and ground parts of some durum wheat cultivars at different development stages

Abstract

This study was carried out in Şanlıurfa, 2013-2014 growing season by
applying two different irrigation methods (using normal and drought stressed in
pots) and the aim of the study was to examine the time changes on above and
ground parts of drought resistant related characters in 10 different durum
wheat cultivars at two different development stages (based on Zadoks scale of
30 and 39th periods). In the study, the following results were
obtained: seedling height ranged from
48.4
-59.7
cm, root length from 27.1 -30.4 cm, above biomass weight from 50.6-79.2 g , above biomass dry weight from 11.8-28.6 g, root weight from 17.1-40.0 g, root dry weight from 7.4-12.9
g and root/seedling ratio from 0.5-0.9
%. All of the characters examined in this study were statistically
significant (P<0.01).

Bazı Durum Buğday Çeşitlerinin Kurağa Mukavemet Yönünden Toprak Altı ve Üstü Organlarının İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Şanlıurfa’da 2013 – 2014 yetiştirme sezonunda, iki farklı
sulama koşulunda (saksılara normal ve kuraklık uygulayarak) yürütülmüş olup, 10
farklı makarnalık buğday çeşidinin, iki farklı gelişme dönemlerinde (Zadoks
skalasına göre 30. ve 39. dönem) kurağa mukavemet bakımından toprak altı ve
toprak üstü organlarındaki değişim aralıklarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
Araştırmada, fide boyu 48.4 -59.7 cm, kök boyu 27.1 -30.4 cm, yeşil aksam yaş
ağırlığı 50.6-79.2 g, yeşil aksam kuru ağırlığı 11.8-28.6 g, kök yaş ağırlığı
17.1-40.0 g, kök kuru ağırlığı 7.4-12.9 g ve kök/fide oranı % 0.5-0.9 değerleri
arasında bulunmuştur. Bu çalışmada ele alınan tüm özellikler yönünden çeşitler
arasında 0.01 seviyesinde önemli farklılıklar bulunmuştur.
