Magnesium and its alloys are among the important research topics in terms of low density, large damping capacity, recyclability, and dimensional stability. The contact of Magnesium with oxygen easily causes the formation of Magnesium oxide. In this study, the Magnesium metal purchased in powder form was grinded by mechanical milling method for various hours. The effect of milling times on Mg/MgO powder composite formation was investigated. Scanning electron microscope (SEM) images of the samples were examined and Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis were performed.
