Urfa fıstığından (Pistacia vera L.) elde edilen çeşitli ekstraktların antikanser özelliklerinin incelenmesi

Year 2018, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 72 - 75, 14.08.2018

Abstract

Metod:

P.vera L’nın meyve sapı, kırmızı dış kabuk örtüsü ve reçinesinden elde edilen metanol
ekstrelerinin insan prostat (PC3, DU-145), meme (MDA-MB-231, MCF-7) kanser

Examination of anticancer properties of the various extracts of obtained from Urfa pistachio (Pistacia Vera L.)

Year 2018, Volume: 15 Issue: 2, 72 - 75, 14.08.2018

Abstract

Background: Studying for years, Urfa pistachio (Pistacia
vera L.) has rich phenolic compounds and is classified among the highest
antioxidant food products. Anthocyanins in its structure contain highly
antioxidant compounds such as isoflavones, gallic acid, catechin and epicatechin,
with anticancer potency. The purpose of this study is to examine the anticancer
potential of the extracts of the various parts of Pistacia vera L.

Material and Methods: The cytotoxic effects of methanol extracts
obtaining from fruit stem, red outer shell cover and resin of P.vera  on the
human prostate (PC3, DU-145), breast cancer (MDA-MB-231, MCF-7)  and
normal cells (PNT1-A and CRL-4010) were examined by MTT method.

Results: All plant extracts showed cytotoxic effects
on cancer cells at allow dose; on the other hand, hardly have indicated the
high dose of Pistacia vera L. a cytotoxic effect on the normal cells.
The resin fraction was the part that was recorded as showing the strongest
cytotoxicity on prostate cancer (PC3).

Conclusion: This work will create a new resource for the
detection of active compounds that can be used in cancer treatment and will be
an incentive for future work.
