Sağlık Çalışanlarında İşe Hazır Bulunuşluk Ölçeğinin Geçerliliği ve Güvenilirliği

Year 2020, , 91 - 100, 31.12.2020
https://doi.org/10.25203/idd.828346

Abstract

Validity and Reliability of The Work Readiness Scale in Healthcare Employees

Year 2020, , 91 - 100, 31.12.2020
https://doi.org/10.25203/idd.828346

Abstract

Objectives:This study aims to assess whether The Work Readiness scale is valid and reliable for healthcare workers in Turkish society.

Methods:The study was carried out as a methodological study. The study was carried out on 360 healthcare employees in private hospitals in Istanbul. Internal consistency analysis was used to test the reliability of the scale, and confirmatory factor analysis was used to test its validity. Descriptive statistics were used for demographic variables.

Results: As a result of the reliability analysis, it was seen that the overall reliability coefficient of the scale was α = 0,89 and the four factors it contained showed high reliability coefficients (0,90; 0,87; 0,93; 0,87). As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis, it was seen that some items in the scale were linked to different dimensions from the sub-dimensions they were in, and some items were perceived in more than one sub-dimension. The model fit indices obtained after making the necessary corrections showed that the use of the scale in healthcare employees is valid (x2/DF=1,57; NFI=0,87; CFI = 0,95; GFI=0,86; RMSEA=0,04) .

Originality:Work environments of healthcare workers are generally tiring and high risk environments that require long hours of work. Therefore, the readiness of health graduates to work is of great importance, especially in terms of easy transition to the work environment and adaptation. The study results show the applicability of the scale to healthcare employees in Turkish society.
